Yellowbird East Cooperative Preschool (YECP) is a non- profit cooperative preschool.It is housed in the Yellowbird Community Hall at 10710- 19 Ave.
The school has been in operation since 1992. We embrace a "learn through play" philosophy and provide many opportunities to play, read and run daily.
We are members of the Edmonton Preschool Association.

We will be accepting new registrations in the following order for the upcoming school year starting in September 2008.
If you are interested in our program please give us a call at 433 3387 or stop by during office hours Tuesday or Thursday mornings between 9:00 – 11:30 am to check out the program or have any questions answered.
Registration Procedures
1. The week of January 28th, all current members of the Preschool and alumni are invited to register. Registration forms will be distributed during class time and alumni are welcome to stop by during office hours to pick up the registration form. The registration deadline for this group is February 6th. This is also on a first come first serve basis.
2. Registration to the general public will be open the week of February 11th. You may come by and pick up a registration form during class hours. They will be located in an envelope on the classroom door. If you have questions regarding the program we ask that you stop by during office hours or visit us on the Open House and Registration dates. The teachers will be available to spend more time with you.
3. The Open House and Registration dates are as follows:
Wednesday
February 13th – 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Saturday
February 16th- 11:00 -1:00 pm
Please feel free to bring your child and come and meet the teachers and see the classroom.

The school year runs from September to the end of May, observing all statutory and public school holidays
We also collect a $50.00 registration fee that needs to be attached and dated for the date that you hand in the registration form. This cheque is to be made out to YECP.

Yellowbird Preschool aims to enhance the overall development of children and contribute to the development of a positive self-concept, encourage a love of learning and to develop the skills to play and interact cooperatively in a group setting. These objectives are fulfilled through a learning through play environment with an emphasis on social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
