Volunteer Positions

YECL Executive

Secretary
Duties involve taking minutes at the monthly board meeting, preparing the agenda for that meeting, distributing minutes and agenda via email, plus other related secretarial duties requiring another 1-4 hours per month.

Basketball

Coaches Binders Coordinator
Prepare, order, distribute binders in September. Collect the binders in April.

Team Photos Coordinator
Organize dates/times for team photos for all YECL basketball teams with photographer.

Equipment Coordinators
Two people to assist to purchase and distribute equipment in September. Collect equipment in April.

Coaches
Attend all practices and games. Two people to assist to purchase and distribute equipment in September. Collect equipment in April.

Asst. Coaches
Assist all coaches' duties. Fill in as coach when coach is away.

Team Parent
Assist coaches with phoning and information distribution. Organize team year-end party.

Scorekeepers/Timekeepers
Attend all games as the scorekeeper or timekeeper. Find replacement when not able to attend.

Bingo Workers
10 Bingo Workers needed by the EYBA. Held Saturday or Sunday at the Kensington Bingo Centre (12538-132 Avenue). Shift from: 11 am till 4 pm. YECL fined $100.00 per person that doesn't show.

Provincial Playoffs

20 volunteers needed for Playoffs at end of season (March-April). Scorekeeper, Timekeeper and Gym Marshall for each game. Minimum committment is 4 hours.

Registration
10 volunteers needed to work at two Registration days in Sept.

Soccer

Equipment Director
Responsible for the coach's equipment, first aid kits, goalkeeper jerseys, pylons, etc. Responsible for purchase and distribution.

Photo Director
Responsible for organizing team pictures.

YECL/KICKS Soccer Tournament Director
Responsible for organizing the YECL spring Tournament, and coordination of volunteers.

Kicks Soccer Director
Responsible for our U-6/U-8 soccer program.

Volunteer Director
Organize volunteers as needed for upcoming season events and positions.

Fields/Flags/Nets Director
Responsible for field flags, condition of field, and setting up and maintaining soccer nets.

Various Regular Season/Tournament/Registration Day Volunteers
We will also require volunteers for coaching and assisting, setting up nets, data entry, and help at registration day.

Softball

Equipment Coordinator
Responsible for the distribution and collection of teams equipment, jerseys, etc.
